Last weekend Briefing Competició started the new season with a new goal. Throughout this campaign we are going to race in “Copa de España de Velocidad”, in Pre-Moto 3 category. Our two riders are Luca Gardner - his second year riding with us in CMV- and his new teammate, the swiss Jarno Kausch. The bike with which we are racing this year will be the MORIWAKI MD250H. This season will be the second time that the championship has a wide range of qualified riders of different nationalities. The riders will take part of eight national races and one international race.

The first try-out was held in Alcarràs circuit (Lleida). The first contact we had with the track was on Friday morning. We began the season with the free practice sessions, where the team was trying to find the best setting for the Saturday qualifying. Luca achieved his best time on the track while Jarno improved his times.

Early on Saturday morning, the qualifying sessions took place. The timed sessions ended with Jarno in the twenty-forth position whereas Luca ended in the twentyninth position of the grid.

Sunday morning began with the uncertainty of whether it would rain or not. There was any safe choice so we made the decision of setting slicks – dry tires -.

The grid was ready, 35 riders were on the track ready to race, the red lights switched off and the race started. After 2 laps the race stopped because there was oil on track and it was slippery. This was due to an incident involving some riders.

At the restart of the race, it began to rain intensively, so wet tires were set. A new race of only 6 laps started. Jarno, after a good start, he came upon some lower riders who hindered him and so they did not let him overtake. Meanwhile, Luca did an excellent start. He gained 12 positions by overtaking 12 riders. As the race progressed, Luca was fighting with several riders for reaching the points position; finally he finished the race in the seventeenth position. Meanwhile, Jarno improved his times lap to lap. He finally finished in the thirtieth position.

The next race will be within one month in the famous and prestigious circuit of Jerez, to hold the second round of the championship.

We are looking forward to meeting you the 24th and 25th of May to encourage our riders in this new path.
