Press Release CEV Montmeló
The free practice trainings on Friday focused on the fine tune of the motorbike, leaving good feelings to both the rider and the mechanics for the weekend.
The qualifying practices on Saturday, were held in two sets, which were marked by high track temperatures. And Alex achieved to stop the clock at 1.50,8, lowering in one second the time from Friday and thus achieving a new personal record. This time allowed him to qualify at position 29 of 41 enrolled in the category.
At 9 am on Sunday morning, the warmup started. Alex was on track getting the motorbike ready for the race. Two hours later the 40 riders took the start. After the first laps, Alex was in a group of riders that he overtook to reach position 25. With seven laps to go, the bike stopped because of an electrical problem, so he had to leave the race.
Despite the mechanical problem, we had good feelings towards the next races, where we look forward to giving another step in the second part of this season.
Finally, there are many people who have come to see us during the weekend to give us encouragement. We want to thank you all for sharing with us the thrill of racing, and all this is possible thanks to your help .
Next meeting will be in one month in the Montmeló Circuit (Barcelona) where the 3rd Speed Mediterranean Championship (CMV) will be held. We will be defending the Nº 1 position. This race coincides with the Spanish Speed Championship (CEV) in Albacete Circuit. But remember that on July 6 - 8, BRIEFING ENDURANCE will take part in the 24 Hours Frigo Endurance Race in Montmeló Circuit.
We hope to see all of you there to enjoy this race with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!
